I love blueberries TOO much. I have been on the biggest blueberry kick for the past few months and I cannot stop.
Blueberry Kefir, Tea, Homemade Jam from a Farm Fresh Amish Bakery, Smoothies, Body Scrubs made from all Natural Ingredients (Philadelphia Find on Market Street), and Chilled White Organic Blueberry Tea made by INKO’s brand.
There are so many reasons why people should eat blueberries.
1. The high antioxidant content. You receive plenty of high Vitamins that help to boost your Immunes System. These antioxidants neutralize free radicals in your body that help to prevent aging and sickness.
2. NATURAL ANTI-DEPRESSANTS
3. Helps to reduce belly fat, providing for healthier digestion.
My newest feat was making blueberry vinaigrette. Paired it with a Kale salad (my other favorite super food right now), which you can see in this recipe. It was so delicious. A fresh fruit salad with Kale. What could be better.
I cannot wait to go to the Rochester Farmer’s Market on Saturday morning because I will have all of the fresh vegetables I will ever need. The best foods can be found at that market. I will have to document my way through the DELICIOUS foods of the Rochester South Wedge Farmer’s Market.
My best friends 22nd Birthday was this weekend so naturally we had to do it up right.
Crab Rangoon, Buffalo Wings, Jalapeño Poppers, Mac N’ Cheese Bites, and Bruschetta was on the menu.
Goose Joose I made from Lemonade Concentrate, Red Bull, Not Enough Vodka (in reality more than should ever be), Triple Sec, Peach Schnapps.
Bottles of Moët Chandon and Veuve Clicquot were passed throughout the party. We do things the right way. TOP SHELF.
If there is one thing I love about my friends, we all give and give in to peer pressure within about 5 seconds. Everyone is so fucking crazy I cannot even handle it sometimes. 4.0 students, that are athletic, naturally genius and have out livers….. you couldn’t imagine the shenanigans.
My best friend (and the birthday girl) are pictured here below. She wore a gorgeous, low cut, magenta romper, tan wedges, and accents of gold jewelry everywhere. I wore a pair of Snakeskin legging, with a black shirt that has a slit all the way up the back for a little sex appeal. Black Steve Madden wedges topped my outfit.
Stay tuned for more posts this week! I finally have time to blog again!
I will also leave my favorite DJ mix of the week. TCHAMI, amazing DJ, especially live. He has the deep and tech house down to a science. Stay fabulous my people.
I recently have been changing my look a little bit. Especially going back to school, being able to dress more freely without a bunch of PhDs staring at my body instead of listening to what I have to say…. and I dress extremely appropriately.
I spent a few hours at the M.A.C. make-up counter in Neiman Marcus and of course Sephora the other day and I came out with a pretty decent size bag of goodies. There are two new changes to my look that I have been doing.
First of all I am an eye brow tweezer. My sister made me this way when I was a little kid and she forced me to let her do my eyebrows. I tweeze a lot. A LOT. It’s been getting bad. I am no where near having ‘ugly’ or ‘bad’ eyebrows, but I really wanted to grow them in a little without looking disheveled which is hard. Pencils are a little to fake looking for me personally, so I bought an M.A.C. eyebrow wand. It’s the color Showoff. A Dark brown with hints of red that pick up my currently BRICK RED hair.
Below is the link to the eyebrow wands:
This dark lipstick from M.A.C is called sin (ironically) and it has the most amazing shade and that elegant gothic look that I love. The liners are also fabulous and match directly. Currant for the dark, Brick for the red. The red lipstick is a generic Sephora color.
My favorite is the deep sin lipstick. Very dark and velvety. Double deep in sin while wearing it!
There is this new product that I have found that is so good for you digestion, regulating, hydration, and I even know a girl with Hyperthyroidism that takes it and says has improved her quality of life. ALOE WATER. They have a lot of aloe waters and gels in many places, always in Natural Food stores that I tend to frequent. It is so good for you. Any extra details and specifics can obviously be explained by them chemical composition of the allow plant aiding your system. Here are the reason why I drink it:
1. Improves ALL Digestion
2. Assists in Losing Weight
3. Speeds up Metabolism
4. Supports and Aids Immune System
5. Toxin Remover
Here is a link to my favorite product below. There are all different kinds of flavors and products. Even the coconut and aloe product is amazing. It’s like double the health in a drink.
In the midst of moving and such, there has been little sleep, little time, and a lot of stress. I have so much to blog about! Many new posts will be coming. But as I am trying to avoid the sickness I feel I am about to get, I will go drink my aloe water. Cheers my friends!
This week ends a huge portion of my life journey to receiving my PhD in both Theoretical & Computational Chemistry and Chem-Informatics. I am finishing up my nine month job as a Systems & Strategic Operations Co-Op at Janssen Research & Development. I have loved living in the town of Conshohocken and Philly area. I have met so many great people it is going to be hard for me to leave.
As one last hoorah, my best friend David is coming to visit tonight and I’m finally going to get the chance to see Feed Me in concert. They are performing at the Theater of the Living Arts. I will most definitely be writing all about the show, and especially about finally being able to see the TEEEEEEEEETH.
There are a few people that I must mention in this post, because I have experience some great memories and had a lot of support from the very beginning.
To my landlord Tom: You go around raving about how I am your replacement daughter and that is a for sure thing. You were a great person to have around, to talk to and to laugh about life with. I will be back in nine months looking for my new place!
To my boss Adam: I have never met someone more like me in my entire life. You have inspired me so much. If everyone in the world was like you, things would get done the right way. You definitely will never leave my life. Your laugh and mind are too great and powerful for that.
To my amazing co-workers: You have taught me so much. To love what I do, to keep pushing and to relax and love the path I take. Never fear using my knowledge, and Devo and Birds are two of the best things in the world. (LOL.)
To Zahara, Mikey, Lana: Thanks for becomming my friend. You were so fun to get to now and to be around. You all share the love of designer bags and being fabulous with me. Love you all very much.
Much love and thanks to all the other people I didn’t mention. I am almost ready to start my trip back to NY, a week of rest and relaxation at my parents house and then off to my new apartment. I have a case of Rose waiting for me there. 😉
I have just gotten back from a weekend in Baltimore, Maryland at the Moonrise Festival. Once again, spent the day eating up the sun dancing, drinking, smoking, raving and all of the happiness and peace the comes along with festival life. I am still in that mood where I’m to happy to actually be in real life. I do need to go into to work at some point today though.
The music was so amazing, production, lights, sound, people and DJs put on an amazing festival. The crowd was pretty decent, as sometimes their can be questionable people there, but I give the festival 4.5 Stars for sure. Good job Moonrise!
I met Anna Lunoe and the was probably my favorite festival experience. She DJ’d a phenomenal set. Disclosure, some of her originals, Don Diablo, and of course she introduced me to the new track Beat That Bitch With A Bat… Original artist is Blackman, pretty old classic.
This Diplo & Friends mix with Anna Lunoe pretty much describes her talented Djing skills and sick taste in music.
Figure was there and was fucking killing it on the DJing but the sound was off in the big dance tent compared to the other stages, and being the sound snob that I am, I left after a half hour. But Figure….. You’re a fucking bomb ass DJ.
Shiba San played this amazing house song called OKAY also. SO SO sick. THE BASS. Ahhhh, I still have the shivers. As for the rest of the shows and sets. AH-MAZING. Check out the line-up!
Anyway here are some photos from my weekend. Peace and Love my fellow humans.
Anna Lunoe ❤
